I am a sucker for several things— rain fog and rain snuggles among them. Summer thunderstorm downpours are some of my favorite things about the season, the way it clears the air and patters on the leaves and smells so fresh and makes all the pavement go all steamy.
...Not that these two need the help right now.

Hahaha, I don't choose when or where inspiration strikes, but painting a pretty word picture with me and supplying relevant/inspirational music is a very very good way to coax it out of the woodworks. ;D

And yes that summer rainstorm aesthetic.
It always feels so nice feeling the winds change when it's warm and then there's a good ol shower to wash the heat off of your skin. Heck, even just watching it during the day, it gets all sorts of magical. Sometimes there's sunshowers and sometimes you see purple flecks of lightning in the distance. Everything smells so fresh and so cleeeeean~

And I LOVE the texture of this painting! The colors and the use of the fog really helps tie in that theme of 'distance', or finding comfort in that distance, that pervades their adventures together. I love it. <3

They're cute and have great chemistry, yes, but Tris literally JUST got rejected by Theo... that's a... pretty short amount of time to be heartbroken before finding another guy, lol
