Description Ye gods! This is the first of the series of eight deities in the world in which Chronicles of a Villainess takes place.

In General:
There are eight gods, each one identified by his or her color: Red, Green, White, Black, Gold, Blue, Violet and Gray. Every person in the realm is born with a colored soul, which corresponds to the god or goddess in charge of its eternal welfare. Each deity has a different “personality” per se, as well as very different sets of requirements for attaining eternal gifts or eternal punishments. All the souls go to one Eternity, but with varying levels of comfort depending on how much they’ve pleased or displeased their god. The only problem is, it’s very difficult to discern the color of one’s soul.

To appease any particular deity, you must live a life according to one of their two aspects: one virtue, and one vice. In addition to the two aspects, each god is represented by two corresponding animal totems.

The Blue Goddess (Lorelei)
Virtue: Dedication/Zeal
Vice: Chaos
Animal Totems: Wolf (dedication) and Sea Serpent (chaos)

The Blue Goddess is by far the most dangerous of the pantheon. Her judgement is harsh, and deviations from her ultimate goals are not tolerated. Only a fool, or someone very certain that their soul was not blue, would swear an oath or profanity by her name, for her attention is not something to be desired--especially in a disrespectful light.

Whew! That was a lot of writing...I might repeat it for the others, or just reference this description. And yes, she does have arms, but they were going to get in the way, and they're not all that interesting. She probably has some gold bracelets and webbed claws for ripping off faces!! >8D ....>.>....<.<...Did I use my outside voice? ^^'

Everything here (c) to me. ;]

okay when i saw the red God i decided he was my fave, but now i have seen HER! wowza she is as terrifying as she is stunning. i suppose that's a good thing for a Godess to be, though.
i love the design of her legs and feet, and the animal-form too. you have such a talent for characters.

Thanks! She's probably my favorite too. Blue is my favorite color, so I usually inadvertently make it the main color of my protagonists. I'm glad for a chance to see it in an antagonist.

My favorite color is blue too; can't decide if I like Lorelei or Bensurdatu more.... xD

Heh, neither can I, honestly. Though there's always been a special place in my heart for goddesses of chaos...

Definitely not someone I'd risk trifling with D:

Her design does a lot to reveal her personality- the feral look she has going is really quite intimidating/intense, and gives the impression that she really means business. I just love her outfit, too; the headpiece in particular.

The two-sided nature of the god and its worshipers really piques my interest... based on Lorelei's aspects, I can see why she'd be so fearsome. Depending on the cause, dedication can sometimes turn into a scary or negative thing...

Thanks so much for sharing! She really looks awesome~
I hope you do similar post-its for the other gods... I sure would like to have a look at them c:

Yes, I tried to pick positive and negative aspects that could compliment each other, rather than opposites (because that'd be one confused deity). Unfortunately for the world, Lorelei loves followers who are dedicated to chaos...

I'll definitely do one for the Red God and the White Goddess, as they are directly important to the story, but the others probably won't be as detailed.

Thank you for your interest! Means a lot! ;]

Sweet! She looks so feral. I love her hair/horns/ears, and her smile. The totem creature is really cool too. I like the idea of your world a lot; the gods having positive and negative aspects is nicely different from (most?) earthly religion, and the idea of colored souls is a fun one. How does one discern the color of one's soul (or make an educated guess, if it's very difficult) so that they know what god to follow?

Thanks! Ah, I was going to put more information about that, but the description was getting a bit long, and I haven't really made the distinction between Magi and Humans very clear. Magi are more directly connected to the pantheon, and thus it's easy for them to figure out which magic they are most aligned with (in a short, not so helpful explanation), and there are certain Magi who are contracted to serve the humans by being "Soul Readers". The process of determining exactly what color a human soul is is time consuming and arduous, but those who wish to join a priesthood or are paranoid about their eternal wellfare and/or rich enough to pay a Soul Reader can have their color determined. Whew! There you go.
