Description
This is an old photo that I wanted to experiment with. Am happy with how the cloud itself looks, the composition I think, but despite de-noising it, it still looks noisy in the sky. But the colors are true, no editing there. So enjoy the cloud. We do get some amazing cloud effects over in this area of the sky here at sunrise and sunset now and again.Related content

Well, it's almost like one of your concept environments, but it was real life! I ran out as fast as I could with my camera. there was no time for fussing with settings or anything, as it was changing so fast. Literally a point, shoot and hope for the best situation! thanks so much for the comment!

Thanks Darlene! It was quite something to see in person! After I snapped a couple from this spot, I ran up the hill to try to capture more without the trees in the way. Forget the tripod, this formation was moving and changing so fast. I know the center's blown out (thank you Brett for noticing) but it was almost as if it was glowing from an energy force within.

I'm a weather forecaster for the Air Force Reserves, and I love photos of thunderstorms. The top of that one is pushing against the troposphere, and since it can't go any higher it is pushing outward from it making it look even more ominous.

Yeah, not much I can really do about that really without distorting the entire thing. But it really did look pretty close to this in real life--it was almost as if there was fission or something happening inside that cloud. Thanks for the comment, Brett!
