It is necessary toΒ slightlyΒ tilt theΒ propeller blades.

This is such an amazing scene. You can really feel the sense of scale that this building has. It's too bad that this windmill would never work - if wind blew across this thing, which direction would it turn? It wouldn't turn! Β You should have made the blades into V-shaped scoops instead of having them be flat. That's just a small quibble with an otherwise awesome image.

Wow, I absolutely love the colour in this, really awesome design too! The roof is killer, you can tell you've thought about how it would work if you walked into and around this place. Although im not sure a dirt road would be suitable for people who are advanced enough to build something like this?Β

Reminds me of 'Nausicaa: Valley of the Wind' as well as Anthony Gormley's 'Angel of the North'. Beautiful work! Lovely light detail on the smaller branch of the windmill.

Nice and yes I know it is just a drawing but I just like to point out that it would have a tendency to stall out when in a balancing position in the wind. The easiest way to undo this is to curve the wings so one will act as a scoop while the other one acts as a slope to the wind. An example of this would be a Savonius turbine.

Or maybe the sails are rigged so they're loose from one side and taut from the other. Still, less efficient than an angled or curved wing.

Correct, thought that too at first, but considering the size of those blades I think the momentum alone of one of those sails snapping back in place would just destroy the windmill entirely if not over time through severe vibrations and metal fatigue.

Aztecs had windmills like that and supposedly they did as protruded in Age of empires: The Conquers

Wow, this looks really cool! The colors are amazing. I particularly love the sky and the way that the upper wheel part of the windmill: it looks incredibly 3-dimensional!
Amazing!
