Prize art for . She won first place in the contest at and requested me to draw her character Arachnid from her comic Earth 14. I'm sincerely hoping I did her justice.This was a bit of a challenge for me, probably because I've never drawn a character with four eyes before.
But it was fun, big fun. I know I say that all the time, but yeah, I really did enjoy making this piece, for reals. It seems I've been making quite a lot of space themed pieces of late, haven't I? Well, I hope you're all not sick of it yet cause I've got at least one more pretty much ready to be posted that's also got a spacey background.
And for anyone who might be wondering, the Zutara 30 Day OTP thing is still on. I just seem to have misplaced my mojo for it somewhere. Hopefully I'll get it back, sooner than later and complete my first collection EVEEEEERRR!!

This is badass! It looks like the cover of a new comic, and I love the vibrancy of the color saturation. You have a great eye for balancing bold colors which I find impressive, since too often bold colors are hard on the eyes and can clash. Yours never do; you manage to find the perfect harmony.
The ambient lighting is incredible, and I'm enjoying the halo effect throughout the image: the glow against the character and the swirling clouds catching the planet's light. Very alien and lovely. The wispy pattern effect on the planet itself is intriguing; it resembles the moon, but with more texture and less craters. Quite cool. And aww, how could we ever be sick of these spacey backgrounds? They're gorgeous!
Holy cow, what a girl! The character is definitely center-stage and kudos to the creator of this OC! At first I thought the extra eyes were part of the helmet, but you did create depth of contrast and have just enough realism and expression to know those are eyeballs. That's neat! XD Very powerful pose and like the clawed hand, it gives her a soldierly look; but then, that grin gives her attitude and life which is nice for the scene. I especially like how you highlighted her lips and those strands of hair.
I just cannot get enough of your art!
