When life heaps upon our heart these scars,
and tears fall fast like shooting stars.
Do not think it weak to pause and grieve,
even the strongest of us needs a reprieve.
Take solace with those that keep you warm,
they will shield your spirit to weather the storm.
Banish the dark thoughts creeping nearer,
when the light breaks through is is all the dearer.
My hope is that these words may brighten your day,
keep Faith, stay strong... and you will find your way.


(Managed to get through Irma relatively unscathed, then I just found out about a death in my family earlier in the day. Hopefully these words may bring some peace and comfort to anyone going through trying times.)
