Happy Valentine's Day or Single Awareness Day a.k.a. S.A.D if you're a single pringle this year. I thought I wouldn't have the time to make something to post this Valentine's Day, and I didn't, but then I remembered I had this sitting in my hard drive. So I thought what better day than today to post a piece of one of my all-time favorite couples?
I drew it shortly after seeing the episode "Stranded" again after a million years. It was such a darn cute episode.
This came out surprisingly close to what I had in mind so I'm super happy about that. The pose was *sigh* let's just say a challenge. But hey, challenge myself is what I wanted to do. And honestly I like how it came out.
Hope you guys do too.Wishing you all the best Valentine's Day however you're planning to celebrate it. Love it or hate it I wish you all a fantastic time.

only Starfire'sΒ brake the mode

Beautiful. You capture the essence and personality of each one. I love it. As of now, I look at Robin and Starfire and think of me and my girlfriend. In the series, it was always evident how they always went out of their way to comfort, support, and protect one another; even when Robin was wrong or acting out of character, Starfire always remained faithful to him and who he was, even when the others gave up on him. To me, in general among relationships, there is no greater expression of Love and Faith than to stand by your loved one's side even when they are wrong. As humans, we are prone to error, and as such, we may affect those around us in a negative way (intentionally or not), that includes our loved ones and those who love us. Therefore, it is paramount that we recognize and appreciate those who still pour forth their love for us even when we are not right. For if anyone is deserving of having our hearts, it is them. Maybe I took this a bit far (and went on a tangent) but this couple to me illustrates a beautiful example of a sincere relationship. "Empathy" is a very important ability to possess. To feel as another feels, their happiness, pain, struggle, pleasure...this is how you truly get to know another and, in time, care for another.
As for everyone who is celebrating this so-called "Single Awareness Day a.k.a. S.A.D", hang in there and be patient. It's better to take your time and do it right then to rush and end up with the wrong person. In the meantime, get to know and understand yourself so that you can later better know and understand your partner when he/she comes around. Just a piece of advice I guess.

Aww, this was probably my favorite RobStar episode, simply because it was adorable seeing Robin squirm like an uncomfortable, confused teenage boy. I loved when he had the panic attack in the opening and defensively screams, "She's not my girlfriend!" Such a boy reaction, haha~ 
Awesome representation here! You really captured the atmosphere of the alien planet, with the warm colors and rocky peaks; that's what I remember about the design, that lava field, and your color choices absolutely conjure that memory. I like how you caught the moment where Star gets her powers back enough to fly them to safety, and the smiles are so precious and genuine!

Starfire: But it feels like it's continuous for some reason.
