What a way to get to the waves... seems that you'd have to be a bit careful here, at times, when the waves are this high or strong! It's a really cool shot, actually... I wonder if anyone's ever had a WIPE OUT??

Yes, there are times when it can be very dangerous - and the police DO shut down all access to both the beach and the pedestrian tunnels and walkways - this has happened most winters - especially early last year.... The worst I have been able to "access" is and I would NOT try to go through the tunnel... That could most easily have been "wipe out" and I saw nobody even trying it...

Great shot, Mal. I do love these sort of "dark" shots...I'd call it silhoette, but it seems maybe that's just used for sunsets, maybe? Great gift!

Silhouette works just fine with me Maryellen - I do not often use them - unless the conditions provide an interesting contrast
