Ruby hated how the war had hurt everyone. Pain and despair everywhere she looked. She was thankful no one had been killed yet, but that was the key word, yet. There was still a chance someone could die, even with her protection. She could only do so much.

She was glad that she had Dylin with her. He had turned into her knight when everything started. Though she had started to find it annoying when she couldn't step outside the castle without his continuous watch. Of course, that didn't stop her from going out by herself.

It was because she had gone out by herself that she was now hearing Dylin calling her name. She had started walking towards the sound of his voice when the calling stopped. She didn't know why it scared her, but it did. She began to run towards where she believed Dylin had been.

When she finally saw some figures ahead of her, she began to slow down. When she could hear them, she almost came to a complete stop. "I know you're behind this, Solaris. I know your tricks." She frowned and walked closer to see Dylin stand over a man, she figured he was Solaris, and saw that he was holding a female.

"Dylin... Stand down..." She said, walking over to Solaris. She could tell he was beaten up badly, but the women he was holding was her main priority. She kneeled down next to them and looked at Solaris right in the eyes. "You have seen more than you let on. There is a lot of pain and anger there... But there's also so much love... For your mother, you children and... Your wife..." She looked down at the women and smiled to him. "She will be find Michael. Just give her some time to rest. But take her home and look after her and your children."

She stood and turned to Dylin. "He's not the enemy, Dylin." He looked at her, but didn't say anything. He knew not to question her, she was just able to learn things about people by looking at them. He nodded and relaxed himself, the looked over at Solaris. "You should listen to her, she knows what she's talking about."

Ruby started to walk away with Dylin, but stopped and looked back over to Solaris with a smile. "Do not worry. That in which you seek is closer than you think." With that, Dylin took Ruby's hand and walked her back to the castle.

As they went, Dylin kept looking at her. Ruby noticed this and smiled. "I know why you don't trust him. But he's not the enemy." Dylin nodded, but Ruby knew he wasn't as sure as her. "You don't trust him because his father is Helios." Dylin frowned. "I don't trust him because I know him. He hates my kind and wants to get rid of the moon and night."

Ruby looked over to him and chuckled lightly. "You need to pay attention more to those around you, love. If he hates the moon and night as much as you claim, why is he married to the goddess of night?"

Dylin just looked at her as they continued to walk. Ruby knew he was trying to figure her out, but she knew that the women had been Nyx. Dylin, knowing that Ruby wouldn't lie about something like this, just sighed and looked out ahead of them as they were now reaching the castle. "If you're right, then we may have a new advantage over the enemy." He looked over to Ruby with a smile. "A man who truly knows how these people think."
