She really is, I can actually envision Spinel as the Gem version of myself (albeit I am a male, and most gems are commonly or oddly enough, female). Wacky, lovable, can be somewhat annoying, always tries to help, will get angry at most occasional times, not wanting to be alone, always trying to change from your current path to be better... only to be worse than how you were originally...
I relate too much with Spinel, now that I think about it, maybe it's because I keep on thinking it's Harley Quinn as a Gem with old Cartoon Powers.
