Because of how terrifying allura and Coran was when they learn where milk come from. Obviously none lf their speciesor animals produce milk so seeing a creature be able to do that is terrifying to them

Aaaaahh okay. I had a thought of what if Alteans are generally vegan bc of Allura and Corans reaction to where this "milkshake" came from.
I find it a bit odd to think that they don't have a semblance of milk production within Altean biology because the ALteans and what animals we know of look like mammals, and as we know female mammals produce milk to feed their young. I think they had a different name for "milk" and by Altean belief the milk isn't to be use outside of child care for the species in question. Which would mean they would leave the milk producers alone. So when Lance showed them where "milkshakes" came from, they are horrified, and disgusted by the revelation they drank another creatures products.
