They watch as Lance heads to the gates and follows the path towards the Castle District of the Kingdom. Shiro excuses himself and heads back to the Castle. Allura watches Lance walk further and further away until he disappears from sight, and turns her attention to Hunk and Pidge who were apparently talking.
"..And what if he falls into a ditch like he did the last fives times he went out? He could get hurt, and be unable to get himself up, and we won't know where he is and next thing you know-"
"Hunk! You're becoming hysterical! Breath."
"Right! Right. Just overthinking stuff." Hunk breaths finally, calming himself down. Just listening to that makes the Queens anxiety spike once more. And she gets an idea.
"Hunk. Pidge. May I ask a favor of you two?" The two inquisition turn their attention to the queen, standing at attention immediately.
"Y-yes your Majesty?" Hunk says, nervous feelings emanating from his voice.
"I need you two to follow Lance. Just make sure he doesn't get hurt, or get off track as he does his duties. I have faith he'll be fine, but you never know what might be lurking in the shadows." Allura articulates her words as carefully as possible. Pidge quirks an eyebrow.
"Sure. I suppose that's true. Might put Hunk at ease for once to see Lance being capable in something. Not that I mean any offence your Majesty." She quickly adds in, not wanting to insult the Queens only child and heir to the throne. Allura just shakes her head.
"Just follow him, and don't let him see you. Now hurry before he gets too far away." Allura nods her head to the gate, and the two young Alteans simply nod in respect and take off after their friend to keep an eye on him. Allura smiles to herself, feeling confident, now nothing can go wrong.
