Their names are Drovus and Lalia. Drovus is the younger of the two, and Lalia is the one who always protects him. When he failed the test and fell, nearly dead, Lalia found him and nursed him back to health. They managed to escape the Abyss, finding a way that only tiny Vessels could traverse, near Deepnest, and the Nosk's lair. When the Nosk got him, Lalia came to the rescue. While the Nosk was distracted by something else, she dragged him out of there and they managed to escape Deepnest and find somewhere safe. They managed to find a hidden pocket within Hallownest, near a Hot Spring, where they both grew to maturity. They didn't venture out until they sensed the pressing danger of the Infection was gone. Once that terrible energy was no longer sensed, they both started to venture out of their small home.

Drovus is timid and nervous, afraid of everything and everyone. He sticks close to Lalia's side and becomes incredibly distressed when they are separated for any reason. Because of a defect in his making, and the injuries he sustained when very young, he is very weak compared to other Vessels and does not have the strength they have.

Lalia is curious, brave, quick on her feet, and very clever. She is caring and sweet, but not trusting of many due to the many years they had to spend hiding from Infected bugs of all description. Not much rattles her and she will run into even the gravest of danger to save Drovus.
