I don't know it was possible to have more than one sun in vue. But very good work, il like the reflection in clouds and water.

Thanks. It's not possible. One of the suns is "fake", a directional light with an alpha plane.

You certainly get those imaginations inhabitants of other dimensions and other planets with existing lives. I know you have a lot of talent in this kind of work, but if you believe in other people is certainly with the thoughts and ideas focused on this element type.

I've had some imaginations alike that when I woke up I did not want to return, are things that I do not know how to explain, but able to demonstrate in Art. But I do not have any tool to be able to express these views I have.

I really wanted to be able to draw so that neither you, Congratulations.

NOTE: (Google Translate) I'm from Brazil and unfortunately I can not speak English.

Nice image. I think the girl and birds brought closer to the foreground would give a better sense of scale to the components in the image.

This picture has been in my favorites for several months now. I used it for partial inspiration for one of the planets described in my Mass Effect fanfic, "If It Meant Living: Beyond", and gave you credit and a link-back here: [link]

I love it. Especially the reflection of the blue sun.

The only thing I notice that conflicts me is the amount of stars visible when both suns are still up. But it really doesn't bother me, I think it's an awesome piece. --Now that I've stared at it for a while I realize that could be possible with a thinner atmosphere than earth

Your title would make an great sci-fi book title

This is one of the arts that appear on my desktop.

Can I ask you a tutorial on how to create a second sun?

Best regards.

Thanks!
I wrote above how I did it, in reply to a similar question from artofkerem. Is that enough for you or would you need some more details?

Thanks for reply.

Yesterday I tried to achieve the same effect but unfortunately I could not.

How to get soft edges of the circular alpha and what material is attributed to the alpha plane ?
Is the directional light is a volumetric ?

I understand that some do not reveal secrets, but I was very intrigued.

I did spend many hours trying to that get that sun right. So, don't give up just yet.
To get the soft edges of the circular alpha, you have to use a very soft brush in photoshop. Maximum softness. Gray in the middle and white in the edges. In this way, the circle will gradually fade from the inside to the outside.
The material is just a flat basic color (the color you want for your sun), with a big ambient component (in the effects tab) and a big luminosity as well.
The light I used was not volumetric but I did have the lens flare on.
Hope that helps.

Now everything is clear. I still have to work on the settings, but it is a matter of time.
Once again, thank you very much and best regards.

Two suns caught my eye originally, but what I think is the real winner here is how realistic the muddy riverbanks look

I wonder how did you accomplished the dual sun on Vue...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ArthurBlue In reply to KeremGo [2010-06-20 19:54:14 +0000 UTC]

I'll reveal my "secret".
The yellow sun is the normal Vue sun. The blue sun is a directional light, with lens flare on and with a circular alpha with soft edges in front.
