Seraphim, an angel in 1st place in the angelic hierarchy, being in the First Triad

Its function is to praise God, being part of the choir that sings and reveres God with ''Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory!"

They have six wings, and with one pair they cover their face, as they are unable to bear the divine light and are ashamed to look at the face of God, with another pair they cover their legs, as a sign of reverence, and the other pair they wear to fly.
Its name means "burnt out". The word seraphim is usually synonymous with serpents when used in the Hebrew Bible.
