Description
This is my first time drawing the Dark Knight Returns Batman after many years of reading the comic over and over. It really is one of my top favorite comics that I just don't get tired of reading. I'm so glad that Warner Bros. made it into an animated feature. As a fan, I of course have little nitpicking details about it, but I still very much enjoy seeing the old man in action. Just the idea of an old man showing the young punks (good or bad) that he is still the best at what he does was always something that I thought was so cool. Much like when Playing Metal Gear Solid 4 and the movie Gran Torino with Clint Eastwood.--------------------

Oh yes indeedy! It only took years for them to make it, but I thoroughly enjoyed it! I would have chosen someone else to do the voice of Batman, but that's probably the only complaint I have.

Batman is just awesome, doesn't matter how many years he has on his back!\o/ And DKR is probably THE most AWESOME Batman storiy ever. Loved your drawing, especially the lightning striking on the background. For a second I looked at him and thought it was Carl Fredricksen from Pixar's "Up" dressed as Batman. xP Anyway, good job and keep'em coming!^^

Yeah after reading those, I just had to get other batman books. I'd start to examine everything he did and say things like, "Yeah Batman would totally do that!"

Sooo much fun drawing a bulky Batman. All the fun giant shapes you can draw to form his body and none of it won't look wrong either. It's like drawing Hulk with a Batman costume on

Awesome work! You really gave it a cool Miller style that is for sure! I'm also with you as I really like the Miller's DKR, plus it's the story that I think brought back Batman to the movies and better cartoons from WB. Yeah I got part one and I can't wait for part 2 to come up at the end of this month! I really want to see Bat's kicking Superman's butt which is to me the highlight of DKR and I hope that they don't cut nothing of it! Anyway great work!

I know! Thank goodness Hollywood finally read the comics this time around! Now it's their only source material that they're getting inspiration from.
Yeah I hope they don't cut anything out as well. I'm looking forward to one armed Green Arrow and the part where Superman is hit by the nuke and is practically dying.... that's if it's not cut out...

Your welcome Bro! I'm with you on that, as long they read the comic story and then try to at least re-do them to fit on an animated and movies, I can live with that! Yeah I also hope that even if it is a bit condensed that they try to leave little out, again I really want to see the Superman piece pretty much all through! Just a another week and and few days, so soon!

Oh I totally remember that! That was my absolute favorite part from that episode (and maybe the series) It was fast paced and the lines were executed exactly how I imagined them when I read the comic

Ah yes, the Dark Knight Returns. While I may have some issues with this comic, mostly from the blocky art style, the really uneven characters and the meaningless scenes of the news shows talking about how the world sucked, this one is still a dark and grim classic.
Frank Miller sure knew of what he was doing with both Batman and Daredevil, as he gave us some of the darkest yet greatest stories of all time.
And of course, the Miller Batman looks very badass in your style, my friend. Awesome work once more.

Yeah, you gotta love that 'ol Franky Miller! He's the reason I started liking Daredevil so much and why I should like and respect the Batman.
Yeah I'm hoping to have enough time to do another Daredevil piece. I have a strange tendency to not draw my favorite super heroes for some reason.
