Description Just like what is going on it’s Mohammed Hijab, anti-statist social Marxists such as Rosa Luxemburg (born as Rozalia Luksenburg) were extremely censored during the 19th and 20th centuries. Their goal was to basically eliminate Capitalism as a whole after it is used in a very carefully detailed manner to help rebuild European nations and give lower-middle class workers a say in day to day politics with the use of extreme force and violence if necessary. Many left-wing activists would consider Luxemburg as a modern day anti-fascist (or Antifa in the US), but some of her writings say otherwise, and the proletariat usually involved ruling in an Authoritative kind of manner. She was also viewed as a “self-hating Jew”, but that is not true, as she once wrote to a German-Jewish socialist and feminist friend Mathilde Wurm during her imprisonment during World War 1 that the suffering of Jewish people should be treated just as equally as every other suffering of any other kind of persons in the world.

During her years of political activism, she was never really involved with the writings and creation of books, as other activists were during that time, but she did have a good taste of quotes, especially those regarding individual and collective freedom. One of her most famous quotes, written shortly before her government planned assassination in 1919, “Those who do not move, do not notice their chains”, is strongly relevant in today’s day and age because we all let our “elected” leaders run our daily lives like it is 1984 without even questioning a single ounce of it. Western countries such as Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Australia, England, New Zealand, Italy, France, Germany, Israel, Ireland, and Canada are great examples of this, as a majority of their general population approves nearly everything their governments do and our willing to sacrifice their lives and freedoms just to fight for their corruption and authority. When Luxemburg talks about how freedom is always the freedom of the one who thinks differently, everyday individuals are being harassed, abused, arrested, and killed for doing just that. When she talks about how Capitalism is a result of a failed system which is determined to fail, 1st world nations are going nearly bankrupt by allowing mega-billionaires and major corporations to take over the national markets, turning basic needs such as food and healthcare into a rich man’s paradise.

But how can you say all of that, she was a huge supporter of Karl Marx? Well, first of all, Marx was more pro-gun and pro-workers rights than any of the most pro-2A and workers rights politicians in this country. Second of all, many of the ideas Karl Marx “invented” originally came from others such as Charles Fourier, Louis Blanqui, and Pierre-Joseph Proudhorn. And third of all, Luxemburg soon started to despise Marx after his stance became evident on issues such as women’s rights and individual liberty. Despite some of the radical extremes back in the day, I have a better understanding of reasoning and sympathy for them because unlike many radicals now, they truly believed that what they were doing was right, and many of them were honest and sincere to their followers. They were more willing to get their plans and visions finished, rather than just wait until they’re really old and crippled to do them, or start working on them and giving up halfway for political gain. Especially from those on the political libertarian left, they were willing to do whatever it took, even if that meant risking their own lives through executions or assassinations, to become a hero and save humanity for the greater good.
