Thorax is so adorable. When i saw this episode, i was afraid that they'd turn Chryssie good. Because in all honesty i'm kind of tired of that cliché and besides, we already have Fluffle Puff for that kind of thing.

Looking back, redeemed villains isn't really that big a deal to me. Discord, Starlight, Diamond Tiara, Gilda and Trixie make sense to me. They responded to the kindness of the Mane Six after pretty crap lives and circumstances.
I don't believe Chrysalis (in canon) is ever going to be redeemable, along with Tirek. They do what they do because they're evil and they love it, ya gotta respect that.

Well, it's just my opinion i guess. When it's needed, its ok, but with Starlight and Trixie, for me it wasn't really that needed for me. The were actually decent villains and i hoped they'd remian decent villains.
But whatever, we had a few epic ones, Nightmare Moon, Sombra, Tirek, Chryssie, even the Dazzlings were badasses.
Sunset shimmer's redemption was slightly rushed but as the second movie came out, it made more sense and added more development towards her as a character and it was actually needed as a way to show that craving power and not letting friendship guide you is a wrong path.
But one thing's for sure, i'm not watching that Everfree EQG movie. I love the second one the best.
