my second peice of art in photoshop with wacom tablet, still learning. took a shortcut coloring, might go back to the uncolored version and fix the backgraound but for now just seeing what i can do

Great! I love the shading and structure! I'd say you should try smudging some of the white on the hair like material on the back of the neck (if you don't know how just google "smudging in photoshop"). I'd say go ahead and do a background!
