So the thing about Dae is when he loves someone- really reeeeallly loves someone- he tends to get very emotional about it. He didn't have a whole lotta love growing up so it's still this totally amazing concept to him.

And then like you dress his pretty wife up and his pretty daughter-type-child up and make them all dazzling and sparkly

and then put them in the same room

his brain basically just can't handle it and all three of his hearts spontaneously combust

Myri thinks it's sweet and Frankie is horrified (she pretends it's because 'ew dad stop that' but really it's because she's a sympathy crier and she just spent 20 minutes on her makeup)
