I wish I could like, write a critique now, about this wonderful piece of art, but I need to go to sleep soon. Still feel like leaving my words here, because it just deserves some attention. I freaking love this. Its not completely original since there are countless artworks of skulls out there and snakes, but it is still one incredibly unique art style and you deserve some mad respect for developing it in such a great way. I am a huge ink fanatic, and i feel like, just illustrating this in ink, while it would look great, it wouldnt even partly look as good as this (except maybe, you would shade it with stipple technique). And the howl reason to why I think it wouldnt look that great, is because of the colours. Colour theory is so god damn important. And many seem to ignore studying colours more, and their work ends up simply looking unmemorable. But hell, that doesnt apply here. The way you used prisma colours here is absolutely stunning and fascinating. Highlighting these patterns on the skull and the skin on the snake, covering it with a nice blue perfectly fitting with the skull. Looks so good. Perfectly done. Mad respect

I give a lot constructive criticism, because I like helping out other artist. Regarding my drawings, I'm still by far not skilled, but I do know a lot of things, even if I cant illustrate things myself that well. I mean sure, as a skilled artist you dont need too much help any more, but I can still point out things that are good and that can be improved as someone with a different point of view. Or even suggest different techniques you could experiment with yourself, you might not have considered. And knowing that you are happy thanks to a comment with more than 2 words, I might even consider commenting on your future artworks^

you dont need to be a master to be able to tell your opinion. like you said different point of views might be very helpful sometimes. i dont consider my self a master on anything. but good or bad criticism is always important in order for people (artists or not ) to evolve. so feel free to say whatever you want. ill be happy to take it under consideration all advices are good

the only and most important advice for every artist I have is fun. I have seen so many videos on youtube explaining how to improve. And while I do the same, tell every artist what they can practice on, how to practice, what to improve on, and what the 3 most important aspect are (story telling, colour theory and background) and why they are important, I always add in the end, that they should have fun. Unless you draw and paint professionally, for a living, there is no reason to continue something you dont have fun with, if you dont have too. While studying and practising isnt fun at all it is important. But its not necessary. Most important is the motivation you have to continue. Thats why often I dont even pre sketch my work with pencil. Just going for it is the most fun I have. Perfection is another thing that many aim for. But perfection is unnecessary too. I often found myself doubting and unhappy over my art because it wasnt what i was aiming for. Up to the point where my father told me that perfection is completely irrelevant. It makes you unhappy. And a hobby isnt supposed to do that. I can only agree

oh i agree. i draw since i was 2. and im 30 now and i do it as a living the last 15 years . and i did study it. but if i didnt have fun with it i wouldnt invest my life and soul in it
so i agree 100% its the best advise someone can give and i congratulate you , for giving that advice

I actually went to my art teacher yesterday showing her my work and she was super supportive and made me a sketch book. Im very happy and now I also have a challenge, to fill it up as much as possible until next time I have her in class^
