Robot bookmark number three! Rusty, greasy robots growing old together. Aww!Again, Steam Powered Giraffe has seriously affected the way I draw robotsβ¦ I mean, check out those cheek vents and facial linesβ¦
As a point of interest, the red part was painted with beet juice! :-D

cuase I saw beet juice? Beet root juice? I heard about artists sing foods but I didn't know people actually STILL did that! XD TALENT!!

Naw, I usually just use watercolors, but I had cooked up some beets that night and the leftover water was just... so... RED! I had to use it on something! It's not like I do that all the time though.

This is sweet/sad/just beautiful... I love robots, as rusty/greasy as they come. And beet juice! Wow! It gives such a depth of colour while having that watercolor look...
The whole thing just has such texture. I can't stop staring at it, seriously.

Thank you! I love robots too, and this series is turning out to be really fun. Interestingly enough, I didn't like the sketch of this one at all. Now I really like it though.
Yeah, beet juice! I was actually making soup and the water that was left over after cooking the beets was such a rich red that I had to try painting with it.
