Description
Long time no see! Today I stumbled upon one of my favourite paintings and I realized it was never properly posted. Ignoring the fact how my style changed over these 4 years, how industry standards got ridiciously high, I am still holding ground that is something worth sharing. Because who doesn't love dragons? Probably only smaller dragons.Illustration done for wonderful guys at Volta.

Great sense of scale in the dragon and in the sky.Β And really, really great lighting of the dragon and the clouds, tying them together in scale and altitude, while leaving the snack-dragons un-illuminated so they're not distracting from the focus.
