Description

Been working on this for a couple days. I left out shading and the like because I plan to colour it in and I'll add shading at that point. I've spent the last month or two practising drawing the female body, which I've always found very difficult to portray. I've got 2 full sketch books of me just trying to figure out how to do it better and a little more accurately.
I've come along way I think and I'm fairly happy with this one. I'll ink it over and colour it over time. I wanted to draw the backpack more droopy and saggy like a typical one you'd see here in Canada, but this character is from an anime and lives in Japan, so upon looking at various pictures of Japanese backpacks they tend to be much more rigid. I hope I got the archways on the path right.

The character is Sakura Kinomoto from Card Captor Sakura. Her typical uniform actually has long sleeves with the bottom of the shirt overlapping the skirt, but I've also seen some art with a more summer-esque style with short sleeves and tucked in. Different schools have different uniforms so I used a bit of creative license there. I tried to use what I've learned over the last year to make this decent so let's see how this one turns out.
