Another attempt at Sakura. Aged up to around 20. While I improvised the clothes and used the model I drew a couple days ago, i gave a nod towards the characters cannon clothing by making her belt buckle her school insignia. I imagine I will colour this in and make a full image out of it. What do you think? I wanted to sort of re-imagine the character as an adult today, and a lot of women where I live tend to like yoga pants and tank tops. I worry it might be a bit too sexualized in design, Sakura is a very innocent character and I didn't want to take away from that. I tried to draw a number of different outfits but found at least for now the character's usual clothing style was too tough to draw for me with all the ruffles and poofiness. I once saw a short from the point of Kero's view that featured Sakura from the neck down in a similar outfit. I chose to turn the model I drew earlier in to her because I mainly found drawing her hair very tricky and wanted a second crack at it. It looked simple but it wasn't! What are your thoughts?
