I wonder though, he has been hiding Caleb for years and the Guardians would come and go occasionally. I wonder why he has started to panic now... Perhaps he had other plans with him, maybe even revealing who he truly is to Elyon but I dunno why I thought that now.
In any case things seem to start heating up with your story and I can't wait to see more of it.
(Oh and I noticed the Guardians removed their uniforms to wear Meridian clothing. Interesting I must say so...they used the abilities they have transform their bodies only but without the wings? Cause in the comics they appeared able to do it...)

Still though, the guardians still stopped going to Meridian for a long while I think, and Diego just wasn't expecting them anymore that's why He was surprised... and Annoyed

Well since this happens years after the final arch I think there was a moment where the guardians stopped going to Meridian altogether, After all they simply didn't have any reason to be there as everything was at peace and there wasn't any major problem, and since the veil was restored it made traveling there even more complicated.
Will might have the power to go to Meridian, but even so she still has to ask permission to the Kandrakar's Council and give a reason to reopen a slit in the veil to get trough.
So as it's been a considerable amount of years since the guardians last appeared, Diego simply wasn't expecting them at all anymore.
And specially now that there isn't any problem He thought for a moment that His secret was discovered and they were sent to deal with him... Also He just doesn't enjoy their presence
Yes they did change their clothes, I thought it would be silly to keep them transformed during all their stay in Meridian, and Earth clothes would be silly as well
Yes they can do that but no, here they are not transformed at all, their bodies are just more mature as everyone is a bit older in this story. The girls including Elyon are 18\19 years old

(Btw in the comics it never mentions about the veil falling. It is implied that is still there. In the anime it is clearly said that the veil falls after Phobos' defeat)

Normally when they go they are on missions and I think that If they want to go just for the sake of going they would need some kind of approval from Kandrakar?...
I remember in the Elyon special issue they did visit Elyon on her birthday but they had to leave right after as "Kandrakar only granted them leave on time limits".
Actually it is mention in the comic that the vail doesn't exist anymore, I just checked

Oh it does? I do not remember it or perhaps it was not translated properly in my Greek issue. In any case though if we are at New Power (post) Arc then the girls have the magical screen to move from world to world so the passing from Kandrakar isn't really necessary anymore...

Also it seems those visits are kind of rare as Elyon gets overly exited when she sees them saying things like "oh my Gosh I can't believe you are here!" or "I missed you so much!".

There was indeed a long period of time in my story where they didn't go to Meridian, as they were also occupied with other things, other missions or other issues in their own lives.
I didn't remember the veil part as well, the Portuguese translation of the comic was probably not the best as either
Well this is the problem with not reading all the issues properly

Well like I said I never liked the comics the same as the series but to say the very least the first issues, at least till the end of the book arc were fine. But yes me too I just bought the comics till the part with Candor travelling around the world and stuff but honestly the entire thing didn't remind me of W.I.T.C.H anymore! Especially with those silly (no offence) items they carried!
Anyway yes they did have the screen but I guess they wouldn't randomly use it to travel around and yes if they had other missions and stuff they wouldn't visit so much
