Description A torc commissioned ... the request was a cream background with pastels of my choice. I must admit, not my favourite kinds of colours to work with, but ... it's done, though I may add a couple more strings of beads to the closures ...

I'm glad you like it! It's not my normal choices of colours, but it does seem to work ...

And thank you for restraining yourself ... I think the new owner will have it very soon - once I've made a box and bag for it to be packaged in!

I'll let the owner know that you'd like to inherit it from her when I finally make the box to pack it off in. I've not been able to do anything this weekend due to an extremely busy but fun time!

That is exquisite! I can understand why you prefer not to work with pastels - you can't get the 'depth' you achieve in your other pieces - but you did a wonderful job here. This almost looks like a piece of bridal jewellery...

Lack of depth is a good way of describing this - it is lovely, but.. with matt black, satiny silk, and shiny beads/wire/threads there is a depth produced in those pieces. This one is very soft, girly almost, and I can understand the bridal jewellery kind of thing too!

:: curtseys :: why, thankee. I'm glad you like. The photo was done using matt mounting board, camera flash, but not taking the photo directly above the torc but at an angle ... seems to work ...
