Her coy, far away gaze as she so demurely retains her half of the forbidden fruit makes me think she has just pulled off a very naughty trick on someone. Makes me think of those familiar tales where there are two halves to a coin, or pendant, or code which are eternally, inextricably connected and entwined. The Mistress makes me think she has seduced another to ingest their half of the forbidden fruit, while she will be keeping her half close to employ as the secret, subjugating key to control the other portion -- fully and forever.
