The colouring in this is fantastic and the how you've used the lighting on the skin really accentuates how leathery Turians look. I especially like the two sources of light, though I'm not really sure where the purple light is coming from. We can see the purple light is coming from almost directly behind but the lighting looks like it's coming from the upper left.
On a pedantic and fandom-related note, I find this Turian to be a little too round and the mouth seems less sharp and more pliable/expressive than what we've seen in the game.
Overall though this is a very prettily coloured piece and the Turian's expression lends some sort of personality to him, which is quite different from a lot of portrait pieces of them.
Great job, and even better as it was a speed paint and just for practice

This is a great artwork. You have captured a side of the Turians I have not seen before, a calm, relaxed side.
Your use of lighting is very well done, not too much, nor too little. The red in the eyes is a clever color, dark, but kind, and not harsh like most red eyes are.
The opposing color in the lighting, of red and blue, is clever and beautiful.
A great job overall, bravo.

me too, but remember, there are plenty of heavy weights still on the way, Splinter Cell Conviction, Fallout: New Vegas, and Halo:Reach to name a few, but I think Mass Effect 2 has a pretty damn good chance.
