First of all, woah. Just woah.
I can see the detail and I can't even begin to imagine the amount of time this must have taken you, to get that right moment. When I look at these-sorta pics, where you see, usually a pubescent girl, about to cry her eyes out, looking out of the window, and it's just so unoriginal. What you have done here is something completely unique, and it almost gives a shadow of anthropomorphism. When I look at it, I can't help but wonder what the cat is thinking about, and what his emotions are going through.
The lighting is one of the features which really impacted me. It affected the piece as a whole, as you can totally see that the dim, dark and dull environment of the room, and then the bright silver-lining outside the window. It's the little details like this, that gives your photo a better vision, compared to others.

This is a lovely photograph and an adorable cat! The monochromatic theme is beautiful and works really well to portray a curious message. You might want to try and fit the rest of the top of the cat's ear in, or cut of more of the cat--either works. I especially like the lighting in your photo and how it doesn't reflect to brightly in the cat's eyes, yet it allows us to see some depth in him. The focus is great. You might consider adding a vignette for some more vintage effect? Great job--this is a beautiful photo and I cannot wait to see more of your work!

I'm not a huge fan of cats, but this picture is very lovely~ The gentle colors, and subtle reflection just make it a very nice piece. The cat seems so tame and thoughtful
