Description This was my final project for drawing bootcamp. We had to draw a portrait from life of ourselves or someone elsde, and they had to be holding an object, there also had to be a background. Basically it was designed to show everything weve learned from the course.

This is my younger brother, Rowdy. I had him sit in a very uncomfortable chair, holding a sword with a leather bracer and a bunch cloth for 4 hours. We took breaks every hour and it was spread over two days though. I really managed to capture him very well, which is a first for me. I added the background after. Of all the pieces i did in drawing bootcamp, this is my favorite.

This got a 90%

Oh wow, weren't you tempted to just take a picture of your brother other than have him sit there? xD lol you did a very very good job. I really like the background. I think the only thing that sticks out to me it that maybe the sword should be longer? It just looks unusually short is all. other than that I think you did a great job

Yeah i was tempred to take a picture, but ya know people have binocular vision and can see a lot more than a camera. Its easy to tell when something was drawn from a photo. I agree the sword looks too short, but thats how it looked when i was drawing him, and its a full size sword too. I guess its just a really weird angle

I love the picture, and I have one question: Did you get the reference for the background from 'Assassin's Creed'? I apologize if this is a stupid question, but after playing the game for freaking ever trying to get all of the stupid flags, you tend to get well acquainted with the area. >.<

Wow... I really enjoyed all of your drawing bootcamp drawings, you did so good on all of them! All the skelletons were so well shaded, and they looked real. The lion in particular was VERY good...
But this, it just blows me away.... Your probley the best person with the pencil that I know. This is amazing.

Jesus, man, when I logged on I was like "Who the hell did 29 new drawings?!?!"

But that's neither here nor there. Awesome stuff! The skeletons were my favorites, and I can tell you really improved over the course of the class. Cant wait to see how this affects new art you'll post.

And remind me never to try that class, if you're gettin 85-90 percents on that stuff... I'd be friggin screwed. A+ material in my book
