The pattern is the character design? I think it's fair that the design is a little unrealistic to it makes it possible to draw them again and again consistently .

That's your design choice. It is not wrong to do random dots. But this is Arven's design choice. It doesn't make the leopard look any less "realistic", only stylized, which is useful for artist since it's easily repeatable and useful for audience because it's recognizable.

I´m really loving how atmospheric and good these nightly scenes look, Arven! ^^
Old Chui and Kafil have already met (as told, when Chui had tried to eat Kafil when he was small) 
Who knows if predator and prey could establish an allegiance of sorts?- if it´s convenient for Chui, and Kafil thinks he can get Abasi out of his way....who reaslly knows what could happen?

I have to say I'm pretty impressed with Kafil talking to Chui (a predator) in a calm way and how he brought up the past when he was just a foal. But man, oh man! Kafil is sure ungrateful of the fact that Abasi just SAVED his life! He should grateful that he survived thanks to Abasi. Maybe he's just mad because Abasi shamed him in front of the herd after Africa's attack. But something tells me he's thinking about plotting with Chui.
Well, Chui did say Kafil was either brave or stupid coming into his territory. Well, to answer that, I'd say both. Kafil seems very brave of talking to Chui in a way that he owns the savannah (very macho I'll say). But he is also stupid if he so much as thinks he could use Chui's help in usurping Abasi. Chui well just double cross him, just like how he did it to Bibi. Anything Kafil should know is that when you're in prey society (and especially if you're prey yourself), never trust a predator! But overall, this is getting very interesting so far.

Right, of course. Zebras are just like lions when it comes to generations, males often try and get rid of the young of the previous stallions they've just defeated and whose herds they take over, even if they have to kill them. Same thing happens with gorillas and hippos.

Hm, back when Abasi was fighting Chui, was he already the herds's leader? I think you've mentioned every mare of the herd is his mate...if so, is he Kafil's father? OR, he took the leadership from the previous stallion, and that stallion was Kafil's father? Maybe it's part of the reason Kafil dislikes Abasi's authority?
