~ The Siran Fox ~
~ H i s t o r y ~
First created in Siran Hills the breed is rightfully named the Siran Fox, the first is a very large,
wolf sized Type C male named Siran. The Siran Fox is a mix between aTimber wolf and a Red
fox. The mix was a mistake by breeders who bred a very small male Timber wolf to a rather
larger female Red fox. The breeding went so smoothly that no one realised the mistake until
they went to retrive the wolf to put him back into his enclosure. They also didn't realise that
the Red fox female, had been recently given a small does of Elven magic to help heal her from
a recent injurie. Three pups were born, one male and two very small females, all born with 2
feathers on their tails. The females died soon after birth due to the mix up and due to illness,
thought to have been due to the mothers old illness. The male was healthy and grew fast and
large. Soon he was larger than the timber wolf father. He was kept and named Siran. Soon
after the breed was founded in his name, and in name after the Property which they were
created.

~ S i r a n . F o x e s . F e a t h e r s ~
Type B's Type C's and Type O's will almost always have at least one feather on their body. They are born
with a feather on their tail the same colors of their pelt. The patterns and sizes can vary but they
will always have at least that one.

Type A Foxes are NEVER born with this feather.

Type O foxes will receive two secondary feathers from their parents, while a Type C only receives
one from its mother. The mother will chose a one of her feathers [If a Type C or O] and give it to
her pup to put behind their right ear if male and left if female. This feather has to represent the
mother in some sort of way. The father will go out and find their pup a feather that goes with
the pups personality to add next to their born with feather. Neither of these feather will ever
go away. If the feather is plucked from the fur the owner of the feather must re-attach it with
Elven magic or will be kept as a neck lass. Type C foxes can then find up to seven more
feathers to go behind the same ear or leave it at one. This is their choice. Feathers can NOT be
forced upon a Siran Fox, they must chose it themselves. They can, however, chose real or fake
feathers to attach to themselves.

Attaching of feathers is a ceremonial affair. This is done with magic, that all Siran's have in their
hearts. This magic can only be summoned via ritual, the respective Type C and O Sirans cannot
force this magic, it comes with the ease of heart and when the feather is what goes with the Siran.

Breeding Season Is CLOSED
Siran Foxes reach sexual maturity at the age of 4 years old and are no longer able to reproduce
successfully, or with healthy pups at the age of 15. This is because their life span in captivity
ranges from 10-20 years old, and in the wild only 5-11 years old.

Siran foxes can be breed to any candid including wolves and foxes. Tending not to want to
breed to felines, Type C's can how ever be bred to cats if they are small enough or the cat large
enough. Breeding a feline to a Type A, B or O WILL get your Siran Fox taken away from
you, unless you come to us with reason.

Males are always called Reynards. Females are always called Vixens. The babies of the Siran Fox
are called Pups or Kits, either term is accepted.
A first time bred Vixen can have 1-3 Pups. Only a maximum of 2 will survive, though you CAN
design up to 3.
A second time bred Vixen can have 1-8 Pups. Only a maximum of 3 will survive, though you CAN
design up to 8.

Reynards are only allowed to breed 10 times with a range of up to 30 Pups. Vixens are only
allowed to breed 8 times with a range of up to 29 Pups. The one pup difference is because a
Reynard may breed all times with vixens who have already had pups before, thus increasing the
Reynards chance for more pups.

When breeding a Siran Fox to anything else, the Siran Fox will become Imprinted on its FIRST
ever mate. When doing this, a Type B, Type C or Type O Siran Fox, while mating, will through the Elven
magic in its heart will transfer its feather to its mate. In return if its mate has a feather it will
simple swap feathers. If its mate is a Type A or another breed of animal the Siran Fox will find
a feather that has at least one similar color of its mates pelt and attach it to itself to represent
its mate. This type of thing can be see on the original Siran Fox, Siran. He has a feather on his
tail that was a hawk feather that his owners painted to represent his mate Ravine. Though
she has another mate.

If you breed a Siran Fox who has already given its feather to another animal or another Siran
Fox it will keep its last feather and any transfer to it will be denied.
For example. If Siran were bred to the Type B's female on the breed sheet above they would
not swap feathers. Instead she would forever keep her feather thus staying very simple and
look as though she has not imprinted on another Siran Fox, though she would have imprinted
on Siran, if never bred before.
If this is confusing PLEASE ask questions!

When breeding your Siran Fox you MUST come to the group #Siran-Hills and tell us the
fallowing ;
R e n a r d ' s . N a m e : [Father]
R e n a r d ' s . B r e e d : [Siran Type A, B, C, or O, Grey Wolf, Red Fox, Ex.]
V i x e n ' s . N a m e : [Mother]
V i x e n ' s . B r e e d : [Siran Type A, B, C, or O Grey Wolf, Red Fox, Ex.]
N u m b e r . O f . P u p s : [2-8]
After this is revived you will receive a reply with a Color spectrum of your pups. And numbers for
the Survivors. The non survivors can be deleted or kept for future design ideas.
You may NOT keep the design and say that you bred your animals TWICE. This is a NO NO and
will get all of your Siran pups taken from you can kept within the group or sold.

{All inquiries for Type C's & O's MUST be sent Prior to being 'born'}
Breeding a Half Siran back into the Siran Fox Breed or to a Red Fox, or Timber wolf will get you
a Type A, this MUST be sent to the group for confirmation]

When breeding your Siran to a 'Starter' you MUST say what type of animal this 'starter'
is, such as a Type A or B Siran Fox [you can NOT breed to a Type C starter unless you speak
to the group FIRST], to a Timber wolf, Red Fox, Arctic Fox, Coyote, Savannah Cat Ex. We will be
VERY picky about what breeds you can breed to. For example a Tibetan Sand Fox is VERY rare
if not extinct, to breed to one you MUST have a VERY good reason why we should let you, and
you MUST write a at least 1,000 word [or damn good] story as to HOW you got the fox and how
the breeding REALISTICALLY went. You don't have to be explicit, just give us a good story and
reason why this should be alowed.

Do NOT mess with the Siran Fox System, you will be punished.
