This image is on the same theme as 'return to me' [link]One of my favourite books is Jamaica Inn by Daphne du Maurier, about Cormish wreckers and smugglers in the 17th/18th centuary and the young woman who is unwittingly caught up in the dark secrets of her Uncles Inn. It is a dark story of bleak moors and shorelines and the men who would use false lights on stormy nights to lure ships onto the rocks. They would then wait for the plunder to be washed asore....and if anyone survived from the ship, they were stripped of anything of value and murderd where they lay on the beaches.

Have you ever been to Jamaica Inn? It's really nothing special to look at... just another pub... all the time I was there I felt uneasy and couldn't wait to leave. I had to send my meal back as I couldn't eat it. It wasn't till some years later I learned it is actually haunted so that explains why I wasn't wanted there!!!
