I love the mysterious, magical and etherial qualities of Owls. It is as if they live on the edge of reality....the twilight zone. I hear them a lot through my bedroom window, but hardly ever see these beautifull birds.Background photograph is an old orchard wall arch taken with an Infra red filter last October. The Owl was taken at my local Bird of Prey rescue centre, Isle of ull,Scotland.

Beautiful work, colors and blending are perfect (once again). something inherently spooky about owls...not sure if it's the nocturnal part or the raptor stare they have but they have an aura of the unknown about them that makes them perfect for this type of image.

I guess thats why Owls have always been associated with messengers between the worlds and seers of truth etc. I just wish I could get more sightings of them....such magical creatures. I have so many ideas for useing them in my work and it's frustrating not to have the time to get them all down on virtual paper!

Seemless manipulation. Looks as if you took the picture of the owl in that setting. I love the spot of light in the background (the sun or moon) at the edge of the arch.
