Description Bulletdancer has one superpower: If she reads or hears something in a story and is utterly fascinated by it (and I mean obsessed), it becomes real. This requires absolute, total focus on her part; she can't be fascinated and trying to make it happen, or fascinated because it reminds her of something else-- it must be fascination for the thing itself and nothing but. It's rare. It's only happened twice in her entire life... and since she is now 19, well past the impressionable years of childhood, it is quite frankly unlikely to ever happen again.

The first time she used her power, ghosts began appearing in her dreams and teaching her how to dodge bullets by dancing; how to be fast enough, how to anticipate it, how to let her body do what her conscious mind was far too slow for. That is how she became Bulletdancer (with the fatal catch that was also part of the story she read).

The second and probably final time she used her power, an unboxed set of Tarot cards appeared in her room. This was a version of the First Tarot, which she had read about in a volume of comics borrowed from the library. Unlike normal tarot cards, the faces and some of the details on these keep changing, shifting so that each card depicts the person or thing which best exemplifies it in the world, at that very moment. But another part of the First Tarot is that it's a bit of a mystery how they work, which may be why she doesn't recognize anyone in the deck... except for herself.

The Fool is like an ace when it comes to card games; it's one of the trump cards, but it's also either the highest one or the lowest one. In divination practices, when the trump cards are known instead as the major arcana (big secrets), the Fool is still either highest or lowest, but it also represents an archetype-- the wanderer, the journeyer, the explorer, the person who is seeking something out. I don't use tarot for divination, but my understanding is that the Fool often represents one's self (or one's client), or indicates a new beginning.

There is also a story that goes with the major arcana, kind of a mnemonic to remember the order of the cards (possibly because not all decks mark the trump cards with numbers). In this simple story, the Fool is a person at the start of a journey, and along their journey they encounter, in order, all the other major arcana. The first person the Fool meets is the Magician, which is the highest trump card (except for sometimes the Fool).

But before we tell that, we must recognize who our Fool is. ;D

Not well. At the most poetic, my life seems comparable to piloting a Wraith-class Star Trek shuttle. At worst, I'm afraid it is a terrible mess, not worth keeping. Better to restart from scratch.
