Nah - this was taken in June 2013, when RG Strike Freedom wasn't even announced. So that's just regular Freedom there wit the wings open. I have all three Strike Freedom kits at the moment but have yet to build them, as I'm going to spraypaint the frames and it's still a bit cold outside.

Yep, finally a break from SEED. SEED kits are cool, but Destiny, Freedom, Justice and Strike Freedom share the same frame - Advanced MS Joint 4, so build process for these is a bit too similar for my liking. And that's, like, 8 kits, out of 31 released at the moment, most of them during last 1.5 years.

fantastic collection! i didn't realise there were these many real grades released thus far. I'd like to ask though, do you store them in a closed environment or are they susceptible to dust settling over time that requires periodic cleaning?

aryss-skahara In reply to BrendanPark [2013-06-19 16:03:11 +0000 UTC]

They're on a open shelve, so yeah, dust is an issue. I'm using Tamiya's special brush for models to clean these up once in a while: [link] That thing is really handy if you have lots of models.

I love my master grades too ) The downside of RG is that since frame is pretty much pre-built the build process is very similar for each kit, especially when some of these use the same frame (e.g. Justice, Freedom and Destiny). Both Zetas and Skygrasper were a welcome change in that part. So I mix building these with MGs so that they don't feel like working on a conveyor. It had lots of fun building MG Delta Plus after RG Zeta since they have the same transformation mechanism and you get to see and compare how it was made on a different scale.

aryss-skahara In reply to SentaiFive [2013-06-07 18:48:16 +0000 UTC]

So far there are just 11 kits in the line. Pretty much half of those on the photo are gentei versions of existing kits. Some have no gentei variations, some have as much as 4 (Strike Gundam).
