Description This is done for the 'Steampunk' challenge at - I couldn't resist to do a totally different thing for Asarea. In a steampunk world I imagine her as an adventurer, too - here in the uniform of a Zeppelin officer, maybe a sky pirate, dunno. Was fun to try it out ^^

the gun was the hardest part of the piece - I'm incredibly bad in drawing weapons this was an erase-often-erase-early-job

*smiles* That's very kind of you, but there are several reasons speaking against this .. it's not colored ... it's greyscale ..oh, and I forgot ... it's b/w people seem to prefer colored stuff, that's all.

Man, that looks cool. It seems like Asarea is a natural fit for this setting, I love the costume details and the bandolier especially. What really sells this is the background, though, you've given it a great sense of having a canopy or a ceiling.

It was my first time doing so many clouds in this detail level - but I don't think it will be the last time it was so much fun to draw and then color those swirls, you won't believe it ^^ it was even more fun to draw then her clothing (well that's no challenge at all 'cause I'm used to do some complicated foldwork and stuff) ... I'm glad you like it

Now doesn't Asarea look great like this! Really like this one - the swirls in the background to simulate the sky look lovely and I like the lack of toning on them (to contrast with the very dark toning on Asarea's clothing). She looks very imposing!

The clouds made so much fun, I didn't think they would be my most favorite part of the piece I never did so many and so detailed clouds before so it was quite funny to see how they turned out ... thank you for your kind words I'm happy you like her ^^
