I should have paid more attention to sketching in the background properly, but didn't want them to look like they were floating in white space. Glad you like evil Montparnasse. Not sure what he's up to, or what he's eyeing, but hopefully it's just a passing interest!

Thank you! I'm afraid I'm a bit overly infatuated with textiles, and was chuffed to find an 1828-1829 gentleman's ensemble with so many lapels to draw.
