Description
My character for a game my friend is running through skype ( , , and are also invovled).The setting is an airship in sort of a steampunk, dystopian-future Firefly-meets-1984-meets-H.G. Wells game, and one I am enjoying immensely.
Luka makes me proud of my traditional art again
even if the profile shot is less than what I'd hoped.I tried an experiment in the upper left image, and I'm ambivalent about the results. I've never been a big fan of cross-hatching (in my work, that is, I enjoy it when other people use it well), but the pens I'm using to ink drawings now do not lend themselves well--or at all--to the method of shading I'm used to. I love copic markers, though
, and my new inking pens don't bleed when I use them with copics.

I absolutely love that shot in the upper left, the one of the coat. The cross hatching really works well there, too. I especially like the posture for it, and in the overall picture, you've got a great sense of character, and style, with a good mix between realistic elements (IE the scars, which are fantastic) and cartoon/anime inspired designs. The profile shot needs a little work, true, but the rest of the shots are gorgeous. I REALLY like where you've started to go with your work, Sis.
And also: big, thick, black outlines make everything look awesome!
