Nue are awesome harbingers of bad luck in Japanese myth and this has to be my favorite representation of one hands down.

Whoa, that is awesome.
Of course, in the Japanese version, the body and legs' animals are reversed.. and once in a while you see them with bird wings..
Either way, NICE drawing! +fav'd

[link] yeah! ...
Oh you mean one I didn't draw? Ok.
Wow, I only found one, hmm.. I know I've read that they can have wings.. in a tale about the Nue.. where one attacked this village..
They're certainly redundant since it can fly on a cloud, but..
Maybe the reason some give it wings is that the name Nue is also used for a kind of raven..

XD That is just too cute there.

It is, I think I prefer the wingless after all. Though now I must look up the raven XD

Perhaps there's a winged and wingless version, like with Lamia and Basilisks

I love the pose and the idea that you drew a creature that not alot of other people have drawn or probly even heard of. I myself havent heard of a nue but because of your picture it makes me want to go read up on them. They look like very interesting creatures.

I love the pose! Perhaps we should be able to see the other leg though? However it's a brilliant picture! I love the snake.
