Why art like this isn't as well noticed as those fanarts and other stuff... Maybe that's the magic of it, but still... People choose something bland and shallow over a masterpiece like this.
Amazing job, I love the shading, details and colors you've used, I can't even point out the flaws of this picture because it's so good in it's perfection... Keep it up, you're great!

Honestly, I'm not really sure how that works, I try not to give much thought to it. I suppose it's all a matter of how much people can relate to certain things. For instance, if they like a show/movie/etc, they are going to be, probably, more inclined to like things related to it or that remind them of it. That's why fanart is so popular, I guess. Its importance is the connection it makes with something else, regardless of the quality of the piece. I am not against fanart, however, I just think it appeals to a different part of the public (or even of each individual).

You're right and I'm not saying it's a bad thing to make fanarts, but this is just bland, it doesn't say anything... If people experimented more with their art, create something better once per some ammount of time, it would help those people with expressing themselves, because that's what art is... basically.
