A gift for the lovely and talented , for all of the hard work she put in on CMDA, arranging our mid-year fic exchange. She once told me that Morrigan was one of her favorite characters, so I wanted to try it out.I really wanted to try something different; a more realistic, but still cartoony, type of style, which is why the shading is different. Her mouth bothers me, but this whole drawing took me roughly 5 days (it might not look like it, but I'm still in the learning process), and I really wanted to get it finished by today. I was going for a more "innocent, but still kind of smug" type of look, which is why her hair is down.
Anywho, I hope you like it Suilven! Thank you so much for all of the hard work you've done for all of us!

Ooh... I just love the look on her face! It's haughty, snarky, and just so Morrigan. Her feathers look fantastic (and I know they must have been a complete PITA to do too)! Awesome job, Seika!

omg yes! I hated those feathers by the time I was done with them XD But, I do think they turned out better than the wings I did last time lol

This is exquisite. Clearly this is Morrigan from her armor to her expression. The background only enhances that, with the forest setting, silvery moon and dragon flying in the background. I love that homage to both Flemeth and Urthemiel/OGB. Her expression keeps drawing me back...the smirk that hides the deeper feelings, which you can see in her eyes...just gorgeous as always!

Very, very, VERY nice! She's clearly the different individual, different mood, but without sacrificing your lovely distinctive style. I especially love the background - evocative of the mysteries and Wild that's such a part of Morrigan. It would make a wonderful Priestess image for a Tarot Major Arcana - the full moon and standing between the pillars/trees as she is. The little dragon in the distance is a wonderful touch - the reminder of both Flemeth's influence throughout her past and present, and the potential for the AD/God-baby's influence in her future (especially appropriate for Suil!)

I've been tearing my hair out trying to make it look right, b/c you've done so much for everyone else and I really wanted you to have something that made you smile. OMG Seika, this is simply stunning! You've captured Morrigan here and given her the 'Seika treatment' and she looks oh so fabulous! The moon and the dragon in flight behind her are a brilliant touch. I could gush over this pic forever but I might run out of posting space here...

But I'm so glad it worked! I really want to practice anatomy (bringing out the muscles to give it a more realistic feel), and this was my first time trying to shade like that. Took me forever to try and shade her nose XD

I'm slowly trying to move away from the typical "anime" style I've been drawing. I mean, I do like a sort of cartoony/comic look, so I'm trying to find a balance between that and more realism. Trying to find my own style, if that makes sense. I found a bunch of tutorials on how to shade in a more realistic way and man, its harder than it looks XD

This is great work, Seika! And actually, I quite like Morrigan's mouth - there is a delightful little curve to it that says "planning something!" I love the shape of her face, and her outfit - and the moon and shadowed trees are wonderful!
