lol, honestly you don't ~ beyond me pointing out someone stealing
a few of your pics earlier this year.

as for my posts to your pics and journal ~ they looked a little
empty with little to no replies and I figured I'd drop a friendly

"what" spirit gum really was and how it works with cosplay...

as for the zuko critique, I'm just a fan of the series and looking
at the pic, his ear stuck out to me.

Spirit gum is an adhesive like super glue, but is made to be safe when bonding things onto skin. There is also liquid latex on some of the details to look like additional skin, helpful when doing scarring.

So a more simplified and cost effective "item" to dress up
scars.. hmm, makes sense ^_^.

honestly, most the cosplayers I run into these days use what
appears to be molded latex props and body paint for texturing.
*(elf ears, body scales, ect...)

one of the best was a girl that attended blizzcon as the queen
of blades... omg, mustive taken hours to get through costume
and makeup.

Most of the scar is liquid latex, and something called 'creepy skin' that I used to cover her eyebrow instead of wax. When I was originally researching doing the scar I used mogenetcentral's tutorial, and she suggested using a small bit of spirit gum to glue to corner of the eye shut, since Zuko's scarred eye is a bit squinty.

Actually, we ended up using eyelash glue instead of spirit gum because my bottle was gummed shut. I think the eyelash glue might be better, easier to get off in any case.
