You dont know how unreasonable it sounds in the show but here it sounds so much more real. There's a statement that they CAN tell eachother's identities but not at the risk of being discovered by Hawkmoth and Alya accidentally slipping up and giving a hint on her blog.
In the show they act like a blind religion instead of a dangerous risk. Sure am glad someone brings up a "Not yet".
