Chime padded back and forth on the lower floor of the nook multiple times before plopping down with a thud against the floor beside the window, resting her head on the windowsill and letting out a heavy sigh. She couldnt get the fight out of her head. It had been a while since Azimuth had sprung onto the gro- but Chime remembered it as if it were as recent as yesterday. She still remembered how confused she felt at that moment. She couldnt imagine Azimuth attacking someone- until now. And that gray wyngro- Grayson, was it?; Kept swimming in her head, about how much she wanted revenge still. And the note, too. She was worried for who had recieved the note she found...
She found herself swimming in her thoughts, sinking too deep to realize the familiar purple gro striding up beside her. She felt trapped by her own mind- just as she had been trapped inside from the snow. She couldve been out playing in it, rolling in it, let the crisp cold of it latch onto her tongue and melt from its warmth. She couldve been singing to the wildlife in her spot in the clearing of the forest. She couldve been thinking of something else.
Pulled from her thoughts, Chime immediately turned her head as she heard the clacking of claws coming closer to her. She turned to find it was Kora, the same grim expression Chime wore was spread onto the purple gros face as well.
"Hey," Chime started, her voice unusually somber and low.
"Hi..." Kora responded back, matching the tan wynglings tone, except adding in a hint of worry. There was a long silence between the two as they stared at one another. Tensions between the 3 of them had risen ever since the incident- no one ever really feeling the same after. She felt all of them were hurting - emotionally, and physically. Koras cheek had been healed, the bandaids no longer present. Still, something remained damaged about her- about all of them. The tension rose as they sat in silence. Chime stepped in and broke the ice once more.
"We need to talk about the decision." She started, waiting for a response from her friends, but none seemed to come. Chime knew this tension had to pass before they could make any real decision, but she seemed to use it as a codeword of a sort. Shed hated how distant they'd all grown from each other. These were her only friends- she's known them too long for her to pass them up now.
"They might be waiting on us."
"Chime, I don't think now's the ti-" She cut her off before the wyngling could finish.
"I know now isnt the time," chime admitted. She didn't know how to say it- but she wanted to be there for her friends.
"But it's going to be soon, and we need to clear the air before we do this." Kora hadn't said a word, but Chime was finally speaking her mind. Chime knew kora was upset- she just didn't know how  to help. But she knew she couldn't standby and watch  her friends be like this. There was a pause between the two before chime broke the silence once again, but in a weaker, shakier voice. For once in her life, her cheer and confidence seemed to tear away from her voice, making her sound vulnerable. She went for the only way she knew how to help.
"Do you... Want to talk about it?"
