You've talked about her sister in the past: she doesn't mean to be cruel, she's just pursuing her own happiness. She may not understand what she's doing to these tiny people.
Now, from a tiny person's perspective, I can understand how that little woman may not want to be eaten, and how she's undergoing an amount of terror right now.
But the giant woman isn't being mean. She doesn't intend to torture her victim. She is unknowing of her effect upon the tiny woman, and so because of her innocence, it's not easy to be mad at the giant woman (especially when she's so cute). She's being playful and hungry, but she's not trying to be malicious. Clearer?

Yes it's clearer, and one of the reasons why I was confused (and sorry for possibly disappointing you! ) is the fact that Emma (the girl in this image) is actually the opposite of Opal!

Emma on the other hand actually loves being cruel (she doesn't usually eat people, she's more into crushing them!) But the thing is, in this comic, Emma is eating tiny people in order to make her sister (Opal) happy
Opal always wants to have a peaceful meal with Emma (No crushing and no blood!) so she's constantly asking Emma to eat some people with her!
Emma would rather crush and torture the tiny people, she's really just doing this for Opal (These sisters are quite different but they love each other)

Ah, it was my misunderstanding! I had missed out on the background of the sisters, and I'm grateful to you for illuminating me! Now I have no guilt in preferring Opal over Emma. Emma's cute and all, but I take pardon with her instincts (speaking as a tiny person), and I would much rather take my chances with the sweet and lovely Opal, now that I know my odds.

As for Opal's butt
She likes to keep some people alive in her room, so she can say "hello" to them every time she wakes up and they can see her everyday (Of course Opal and tiny humans don't speak the same language, but Opal likes to pretend that they do...)

I've wondered about that: if the Tinies are too quiet, or if they speak different languages, are there universal physical gestures they could do to begin to communicate with a giantess? They will each have their own assumptions about what gestures mean, but gestures like "eating" and "sleeping" should be easily understood. I wonder if Opal could form a shared vocabulary with her little guests to the point where she discovers what's going on in their minds. I think that could be useful, but I'm also feeling a little protective of Opal's tender heart...

And they all act differently, so Opal has no way to know what's really happening. Besides, they are so small, it's hard for Opal to see what they're doing (I usually need to zoom in on the little people, just to be able to show their facial expressions)
