He sighed, staring at his son. The poor kid, caught in the middle of all these changes; changes that were his fault. Well, his fault and her fault. That woman. That one woman who was intolerable. She was so stubborn, bossy, and thought she knew it all. That damn woman. This whole thing was her idea. Her idea to send to boys away, her idea to have heirs with mixed heritage. Here they were, the same place they were 18 years ago, fighting. Yelling and screaming all of the problems that needed to be fixed. But they couldn’t be. The damage was done.
