Misty and Nightingale spend a lot of their time together at Fluttershy’s place or in the Everfree Forest, when they have to get away from everypony. It took a long time for Misty to accept that she was an introvert (given her two outgoing bros) and that that was okay.*dialogue coming eventually~~

I love when digital artists make illustrations that look like traditional art (oil, acrylic, pastel pencil, charcoal, etc)
As art nerd XD I love how the brush strokes and those perfect imperfections of the paintings look.
And your characters are adorable! What program do you use dear? and the brushes?

It’s kinda funny bc since I started out fully traditional (pencil and paper, watercolors etc) I’m usually way more comfortable with traditional art. Digital wasn’t tooo hard to pick up, but it was clunky to use a tablet with computer (used to use SAI). Which still works fine, but now that I have an iPad and pencil, I use Procreate! It’s great bc you can draw digitally wherever you are and it has a lot of the cool features that Photoshop and SAI have. However if you don’t want to spend, ive seen other programs on the iPad like Ibispaint and Sketchbook that also work rly well

This is absolutely gorgeous! The brush strokes in this are so smooth and really give this piece such a peaceful vibe! I also love how the perspective of the frame makes it so that it looks like us audience are peering from bushes to get a look at the two besties nestled in their little glen. And the colors, the colors! The green and blue aesthetic works wonderfully when paired with Mist and Nighty’s designs and give it such a calming aura. I’d die just to be where the two of them are now. They also look so happy and at peace with each other, and it’s so endearing. <3 This piece made my day! Fantastic job!

i rly took some time on this one to get the mood right and although it didnt come out exactlyy how i wanted, im p happy with what i ended with^^ i dont know a lot about color theory, but im so glad you could get that sort of mood from this bc i was def going for a calmer vibe
