Diary Entry #3 - The Baby

It's been a few weeks since me and my sister found the abandoned baby, I started thinking

she's actually cute. We took off the babies under garments since there's no way for us to

change her. A naked human is actually pretty funny looking. I helped Kara cover her so she

don't get cold at night; well, we just use our tails while she's sleeping. We sort of started

a routine. We wake up, hunt around the forest in search of berries since we figure she wont be

able to eat meat like us yet, feed her, then let her sleep. I left the mothering duties to

Kara since... You know, I don't exactly produce milk. It's a little disturbing to know wolves

are feeding a human baby their milk; I know. But I rather not have a dead human in our den.

It's now been a month since I last wrote in this diary, I noticed I didn't finish what I was

writing but I guess I can do that now since the baby is asleep and Karalyn has everything

under control. I find myself near the road more then usual, I don't know why. I guess I feel

like one day, another dumb human will drop off a baby on the side of the road, though, I

highly doubt they will. I just walk along the road, fully alert to any sounds of those big,

loud machine things the humans are always inside. After an hour of being there, I return to

Karalyn and help her with the baby to the best of my ability.. Which isn't actually much.

Sometimes I find the baby annoying, wont stop crying. It's loud too! Usually she's just hungry

or needed to use the bathroom, I let Karalyn worry about that, haha. But we're still getting

things figured out. The forest has been quiet and it'll be a month before hunting season

again, I always dread those days, it's actually the scariest things in our lives. Knowing there's

dozens of humans hunting for you, wanting to take your life for no reason. What have I ever done to

your kind? In fact, i'm taking care of one of your kind! But, enough of that, I'll write in here

again when I find the time again or when something interesting happens.
